RoseBerry Media has launched as a new media and entertainment company focused on producing and distributing premium content for the growing vertical video market.
The company was founded by producer and TV creator Guy Hameiri alongside former Amagi executive Lior Friedman and entrepreneurs Itay Koppel and Simi Efrati. Headquartered in New York City, the company also has hubs in London and Tel Aviv.
RoseBerry is positioning itself around what it describes as the “vertical television era,” combining original productions with the repurposing of existing television IP for mobile-first viewing. The company is using proprietary AI-driven workflows to adapt longform content into vertical formats, a process it refers to as “library verticalisation.”
At launch, RoseBerry said it has secured agreements with leading distributors, including A+E Global Media, All3Media International, Banijay Rights, Cineflix Rights and Fremantle. Under the deals, selected catalogue titles will be reformatted into vertical episodic content using RoseBerry’s AI-enabled production pipeline.
The company said the adapted titles will span genres including documentary, true crime, scripted and reality programming. It also plans to launch a direct-to-consumer platform later this summer focused on curated mobile-first storytelling.
Hameiri (pictured) said: “RoseBerry is setting a new benchmark for premium vertical television, mobile first by design. Vertical is one of the fastest growing areas in the media sector, yet it is rarely defined by true craftsmanship or quality.”
He added: “By combining decades of television experience with advanced AI driven workflows, we’re building a scalable model that delivers brand safe, advertiser ready content which we believe will represent real value globally for our industry partners and our direct-to-consumer customers when we launch our App this summer.”
According to the company, its business model is designed to generate revenues across advertising, licensing, partnerships and direct consumer relationships, while offering distributors additional monetisation opportunities for existing IP libraries.
