Propagate Content and Cowshed Ventures have announced the launch of Survive+, a new YouTube and social-first outdoor and adventure channel featuring Bear Grylls, Jack Randall, and a slate of original series and specials.
The joint venture brings together Los Angeles-based production company Propagate Content, and Cowshed Ventures, part of the UK’s Cowshed Collective which specialises in digital-first content strategy and optimisation.
Survive+ will combine licensed adventure titles with new original IP, with the aim of creating a global hub for premium adventure storytelling designed for social platforms and YouTube audiences.
At launch, the channel will feature programming fronted by Bear Grylls, alongside emerging presenters such as zoologist Jack Randall, as well as new series including Survivalists. The focus will be on short- and mid-form ‘cinematic adventure content’ designed to reach audiences “wherever they are, however they want to watch.”
Luci Sanan, Head of Cowshed Ventures, added: “We’re very excited to be launching our venture with Propagate, a partner which gives us unparalleled access to premium content in the much-sought-after genre of adventure and outdoors content. Coupled with Cowshed’s expertise in digital-first content optimisation, we’re going to create a go-to home for first-class shows, creators and brands.”
Propagate, whose credits include Running Wild with Bear Grylls, brings its experience in large-scale factual and entertainment programming to the new venture, while Cowshed contributes its expertise in creator-led production and digital channel growth. Cowshed produces Netflix hit Inside, which originated as a YouTube series produced in partnership with Sidemen Entertainment.
Cowshed will oversee day-to-day operations of the Survive+ channel, including content management, optimisation, and audience development. Both companies will jointly develop original adventure IP intended to scale across digital, streaming and branded platforms.
