AI-driven media company Chronicle Studios is expanding into the Webtoon space through a partnership with illustrator Teo Skaffa on his upcoming young adult series, Graveheart Keep. The move marks Chronicle’s first Webtoon channel collaboration as the company broadens its creative collaborations.
Under the agreement, Chronicle Studios will deploy its AI-driven social content intelligence platform to manage social strategy, content optimisation, audience development and monetisation for Graveheart Keep across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The company’s agentic AI system is designed to automate the full social content lifecycle, including distribution, viewer acquisition and revenue generation.
Set in a gothic castle, Graveheart Keep follows Lara, a half-human, half-vampire princess who teams with an amnesiac Bone Boy to save the Vampire King from a mysterious illness following the Queen’s murder. As the pair venture into the castle, they uncover a conspiracy that threatens both the human and monster realms. Skaffa, known for his work on Fright Nights and The Goonies: The Illustrated Storybook, is writing and illustrating and will announce a Spring launch date via Instagram.
The Webtoon initiative follows another recent announcement from Chronicle Studios. Earlier this month, the company partnered with animation production company The Hive Studio on a YouTube channel collaboration covering two animated series: The Vampair and The Normal MFer.
Under that agreement, Chronicle’s platform will manage YouTube channel strategy, audience discovery and monetisation for both projects. The Vampair, created by Daria Cohen, originated as a series of animated music videos and is being developed into a larger animated property. The Normal MFer, from CC0 Studios, Joe McNaney and Alex Orrelle, centres on a young man navigating adulthood in a hyper-digital world.
Amit Russell Gicelter, founder and CEO of The Hive Studio. said, “Chronicle’s technology is exactly the innovative solution we need to grow our audience and expand the reach of our series globally. We’re excited to partner with a team (that) understands our industry and shares our vision for scaling bold, creator-driven content.”
