YouTube stars The Try Guys launch new ‘Try Every Day’ channel

Popular YouTubers The Try Guys have launched a second companion channel called Try Every Day. As its name implies, the channel will see co-hosts Zach Kornfeld and Keith Habersberger try a new thing every day – and they will invite fans to do likewise.

Speaking from a new set designed for the spin-off channel, Kornfeld and Habersberger said they will drop five videos a week for the whole of September – showing new things they have tried. In every episode, they will also feature one fan who has sent in videos of themselves trying new things (either suggested by the channel or spontaneous).

It’s not clear what will happen to the new channel after that. The popular YouTubers joked that they would delete it at the end of the month, before suggesting that they would leave it up to inspire fans to try things. They hinted that they might also make more content for the channel – presumably if it proves popular.

Although the channel is pegged as a September launch, the first three videos are already up and have attracted 115,000 subs to date. While the channel is active, the flagship channel will be relatively quiet, with just one new video release.

The Try Guys span out of Buzzfeed several years ago and have built up a huge audience by trying things (7.92m subscribers on YouTube). They also recently launched a FAST channel in partnership with Samsung TV Plus. In addition, there is an ad-free, uncensored version of their channel called Second Try.

Explaining the premise, Habersberger said: “Even just dabbling in something for a day changes you as a person. I really think that just the act of trying, whether or not you commit or pursue it beyond that first try, really helps you grow as a person.”
