With just 24 hours to go until the first ever TellyCast Digital Video Awards, organisers are excited to welcome digital video industry leaders from the UK and beyond.
Taking place on Thursday 5th June at The Londoner Hotel in London’s West End, the awards ceremony will honour the creators, studios, brands and broadcasters breaking boundaries in social video, with 26 categories up for grabs. These range from from Studio of the Year and Social Video Channel of the Year to an array of accolades for original digital formats, digital-first channels and branded content.
Hosted by YouTube star Max Fosh, the event will bring together the most influential and pioneering names in the social video space. Among teams confirmed to attend are digital-first disruptors such as LADbible, After Party Studios, COPA90, TheSoul Publishing, Sidemen Entertainment, Wall of Entertainment, SB Media, Cowshed, Coolr, Spirit Studios, Strong Watch Studios, Objekt and Little Dot Studios. There will also be representatives from social platform giants YouTube and TikTok.
Also in attendance are some of the established media and agency players that have successfully embraced the potential of social video, namely Banijay, BBC Studios, Channel 4, Hearst Networks, ITV Studios, Paramount and Quintus Studios.
There will also be a roster of social video creators at the event with a combined follower count of over 41 million – either presenting awards or attending as guests. In addition to host Max Fosh, these include leading talents such as Hayley Morris, Eman SV2, Specs Gonzalez, Mehreen Baig, Zeze Millz, Formz, Joe Sugg and Jake Brown
Justin Crosby, founder of TellyCast and digital-first news outlet The Drop, said: “This awards show has been built from the ground up for the social video industry. It’s long overdue recognition for the incredible creative talent, craft and innovation driving this fast-growing sector. I’m delighted it has received such strong endorsement from the industry – and we’re looking forward to the first of many great awards nights.”
