Dating reality format Qesma W Naseeb: Alarusat & Alhamaat is moving from YouTube to Prime Video, with a new 120-episode season commissioned as a Prime Video Original for audiences across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The series, produced by M Networks, a joint venture between Merzigo and Melon Digital, launched on YouTube in 2024 and has built a following of more than three million subscribers and more than two billion lifetime views.

The format follows contestants living together as they navigate relationships and emotional challenges, with brides-to-be and their future mothers-in-law competing alongside one another. The series also explores themes including tradition and modernity, women’s autonomy and intergenerational conflict.

Yigit Dogan Celik, chairman and CEO of Merzigo, said: “We are proud to bring Qesma W Naseeb: Alarusat & Alhamaat to Prime Video with a season created specifically for its subscribers. This new season extends the concept of the show and adds a new dynamic to the everyday relationship between brides and their mothers-in-law.”

He added: “The journey of Qesma W Naseeb shows what happens when a format proves itself natively: it becomes original programming for the world’s biggest streaming services. Our focus on cinematic quality, cultural authenticity, and digital participation built an audience first, and that audience is what travels with the show wherever it goes.”

The series is filmed in Turkey and was previously released on YouTube on a daily, broadcast-style schedule. The transition comes as broadcasters and streamers increasingly look to digital platforms as places where formats and audiences can be established before being developed or acquired for more traditional premium services.
