AVOD and social video monetisation firm VA Media is adding five new YouTube channels to its portfolio. Based around high-profile franchises from distributors such as Bossanova and Cineflix, the company’s channel line-up underlines a growing opportunity for third party content licensing on the Google-owned platform.
The new free to access channels include:
We Got Movies – adrenaline-fueled action, epic sci-fi adventures, and pulse-pounding thrillers including disasters, creature features, alien invasion, and fantasies.
Frontline Crime – the third channel in VA Media’s True Crime family. Highlights border control, high speed chases, drug busts and gangs. Shows on the channel include Border Force USA and gang/crime investigations fronted by Ross Kemp.
Best Drama Movies – full-length melodramas, romantic tragedies, and historical period dramas from around the world including undiscovered award-winning dramas.
Holiday Movie Central – Christmas and holiday fare including Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving and more; full-length family-friendly films and series.
Freetime Movies – action and thrillers including thrilling chases and fight scenes.
The new channels will all be launched through Q3 and Q4 of 2025. Q1 2026 will bring three additional channels focused on unscripted content.
VA Media has built a network of 21 million subscribers, 120 million monthly views, and 25 owned & operated channels. Mark Ashbridge, CEO of VA Media (pictured), said, “We’re thrilled with our growth and our partnership with YouTube that allows us to bring such high-quality content from our partners to the platform. This success affirms our model and is helping us find more ways to generate meaningful revenue for our clients.”
