TikTok’s LIVE Fest Europe lands tomorrow in Rome, underlining growing importance of live content

TikTok will stage its flagship LIVE Fest Europe tomorrow, Saturday 31 January, bringing creators, performers and audiences together in Rome for a live-streamed showcase of the platform’s LIVE ecosystem. The event forms part of TikTok’s global series of LIVE activations and follows the inaugural European edition held in 2024.

LIVE Fest Europe will be broadcast across @TikTokLIVE_UK and eight official TikTok LIVE accounts across the EU, offering viewers access to red-carpet interviews, creator awards and live performances through a combined in-person and in-app experience.

The event is designed to highlight the growing role of live streaming within TikTok’s creator economy across Europe. TikTok reports that more than 15 million creators in Europe went LIVE on the platform in 2025, using the format to engage audiences across entertainment, music, education, small business and e-commerce.

“TikTok LIVE is redefining the way creators and audiences connect in real time, transforming individual journeys into shared global experiences powered by community,” said May Huang, head of operations for TikTok LIVE EMEA. “LIVE Fest Europe celebrates the momentum, dedication and growth of LIVE creators, spotlighting their stories and talent alongside the audiences that support them.”

TikTok LIVE has become a central pillar of the platform’s European growth strategy, reflecting wider industry momentum around real-time, interactive formats. Beyond entertainment, LIVE is increasingly used for social commerce, learning and creator monetisation, with features such as gifting, subscriptions and LIVE shopping driving longer engagement and deeper community interaction. 

Industry analysts have observed that live formats allow platforms to differentiate by enabling two-way participation rather than passive consumption.

The event will stream from 6:00pm CET, with coverage available via @TikTokLIVE_UK and official TikTok LIVE accounts across the EU.
