The TellyCast Digital Content Forum has introduced a limited number of discounted freelancer tickets for its 2026 edition, held at BFI Southbank on 5 November, in a move that acknowledges the continuing struggles for the content industry’s freelancer community.
Freelancers who verify their status can attend the one-day event for £199.99 plus VAT and booking fee. Verification runs through a short application form.
“We know that many freelancers are facing challenging times,” said Justin Crosby, founder of TellyCast. “As the TV industry recalibrates for the new production economy, it’s crucial that independent professionals have access to the knowledge and connections that will help them thrive.” The ticket offer follows a similar discount offered to freelancers for the 2025 edition and April’s annual How to Make Money in Digital event.
The Forum’s 2026 sessions will address new revenue models, platform strategy, social-first commissioning, the monetisation routes opening up around creator businesses and digital-first studios and more.
The event is built for production companies and media businesses working out how to operate in an economy where the commission is no longer the only viable starting point, and where the audience relationship is increasingly held somewhere other than a broadcaster’s schedule.
The full event programme and speakers will be announced in the coming weeks via the event website and here on The Drop.
