The deadline for entries to the 2026 TellyCast Digital Video Awards has been extended by one week, with submissions now closing on February 27.
The organisers have taken the decision to allow additional time following requests from across the digital-first community for a short extension to complete entries.
Launched by the publishers of TellyCast and The Drop, the Awards were created to recognise excellence, creativity and innovation across the digital-first video sector. Following a strong debut year, the event is now a key fixture in the industry calendar.
Last year’s ceremony, held in London and hosted by Max Fosh, brought together digital-first studios, broadcasters, distributors and platform specialists from the UK and international markets. Among the winners were Wall of Entertainment (Studio of the Year), Channel 4.0 (Social Video Channel of the Year – Broadcaster), Sidemen Entertainment for Inside, and Spud Gun Studios, which collected four awards including Social Video Channel of the Year – Independent Studio.
For 2026, the Awards feature 26 categories, with new additions reflecting developments across the sector, including AI production, microdrama, news, sports, women’s channels and digital catalogue exploitation.
Justin Crosby, founder of TellyCast, said: “We’ve had a very positive response to this year’s Awards and have received a number of requests for a little more time to finalise submissions. Extending the deadline gives teams the chance to complete their entries without rushing. I’d also like to thank everyone who has already entered. The range and quality of work submitted so far reflects the strength and diversity of the digital-first market.”
All entries will be judged by an independent panel of industry leaders spanning digital-first production, publishing and distribution. The Awards will culminate in a live ceremony at The Londoner Hotel in London’s Leicester Square on May 21, 2026.
