Sports Illustrated has launched SI TV, a free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel that will operate 24/7 across multiple platforms, expanding the brand’s video distribution footprint. The channel is available at launch on platforms including Amazon Fire TV, with plans to roll out on The Roku Channel in the coming months.
SI TV aggregates original programming, live events, studio shows, podcasts and archival content drawn from Sports Illustrated’s overarching editorial operation. Programming spans sports news and analysis, longform storytelling, lifestyle content and behind-the-scenes access tied to the brand’s reporting and events.
Content on the FAST channel includes docuseries, live game coverage from the Mountain West Conference Network, daily betting analysis, studio programming and archival material from the Sports Illustrated Vault. SI TV will also carry a full broadcast of the Sportsperson of the Year awards ceremony, held Jan. 6.
The launch builds on growth in Sports Illustrated’s multiplatform video business. According to the company, SI’s YouTube content recorded a 160% year-over-year increase in views and a 180% increase in watch time in 2025.
“SI TV is a new platform for what SI has always done: tell the best stories in sports with authoritative voices and unique access,” said Steve Cannella, editor in chief of Sports Illustrated. “We’re excited to expand that mission into the FAST space.”
Initial programming includes shows such as Around the W, a women’s basketball-focused series; MMQB, featuring NFL analysis from senior writers Albert Breer and Conor Orr; Open Floor, centered on NBA news and commentary; Fantasy Dirt with Michael Fabiano; and College Road Trip, a college football-focused travel and fan experience series. The channel will also feature content from The Players’ Tribune library, investigative and documentary-style original features, and curated archival material highlighting Sports Illustrated’s history.
Additional series include Sports Illustrated FC, The Baseball Insiders, The Dan Evans Show (golf), Stadium Wonders, Where Are They Now?, and programming tied to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit brand. Later this year, SI TV plans to debut GOAT Week, a multi-day series drawing from the Sports Illustrated Vault that will spotlight legendary athletes through archival footage, interviews and behind-the-scenes material.
Sports Illustrated, founded more than 70 years ago, operates as a multi-platform media brand spanning digital, print, social, events and licensing, with a focus on sports journalism, lifestyle content and live experiences. SI TV represents the latest expansion of its editorial business under Minute Media, which operates the brand. Minute Media also owns FanSided and The Players’ Tribune and provides video and AI-driven content tools through its STN Video and Magnifi platforms.
