Scripps Sports Network is expanding its creator-led programming with Total Replay with the Makeshift Project, a new sports entertainment series featuring YouTube and podcast hosts Zach Misischia and Brian Conforth.
Launching today (October 21), the 10-episode series will premiere on the free streaming television network with the first two episodes airing back-to-back. Half-hour episodes will run on Wednesday evenings, with extended, hour-long versions released on the Scripps Sports YouTube channel the following day.
Misischia and Conforth’s The Makeshift Project combines conversations about sport and popular culture with trivia and interactive guessing games. According to Scripps, their content has attracted an audience of more than 6.5 million.
The new series will explore personalities, moments and trivia from sports history through rankings, challenges, games and debate. Each episode will focus on a particular sport and feature guests from across sport and entertainment.
“Zach and Brian have built a devoted following by bringing an infectious energy, deep sports knowledge and unmistakable sense of fun to every conversation,” said Adam Harman, SVP of programming for Scripps. “This new series will tap into the passion that makes sports fandom so special, and we’re thrilled to add this fresh and distinctive series to Scripps Sports Network’s growing lineup of original programming.”
Launched by The E.W. Scripps Company in March, Scripps Sports Network is a 24-hour free streaming channel carrying live sport, repeat coverage of sporting events and original programming.
