Streaming platform Roku has expanded its UK FAST offering with the launch of five new channels from ITV Studios, building on the rollout of more than 40 FAST channels on the platform last year.
The new channels – The Graham Norton Show, Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Inspector, River Monsters (pictured) and British Screen Classics – are available free to stream on all Roku devices via The Roku Channel and the platform’s Live TV Guide.
The additions extend Roku’s slate of free entertainment, reality and film content in the UK, with an emphasis on established British programming and globally recognised formats. The channels are fully integrated into the platform’s interface for discovery via both the Live TV section and search.
Tom Price, director of content distribution for Europe and Australia at Roku, said: “The new channels build on the strong momentum of our FAST offering and reflect our commitment to expanding locally relevant content. Our FAST channels make it easy for viewers to enjoy popular shows without any subscription fees.”
Graham Haigh, COO of ITV Studios digital division Zoo 55, said the partnership would broaden the reach of ITV Studios’ catalogue: “Our partnership with Roku brings some of ITV Studios’ most iconic shows to even more viewers across the UK. It ensures our world-class library remains at the forefront of the evolving streaming landscape, connecting audiences with the content they love.”
The agreement was led by Jane Dribinskaya, VP FAST & DTC partnerships at Zoo 55, and Albert Rabago, content acquisition manager at Roku.
