TellyCast Digital Video Awards 2026 has awarded a special recognition ‘Breakthrough Studio’ honour to Objekt, recognising a company that has not only built a strong foundation over a number of years, but delivered a decisive step-change in scale, ambition and impact over the past 12 months.
Decided by the judges, the award celebrates studios that have fundamentally shifted their creative and commercial trajectory through innovation, originality and growth. This year’s recipient was highlighted as a standout example of a long-established studio entering a new phase of momentum and influence within digital entertainment.
Founded in 2014, Objekt is a digital entertainment studio built on the belief that the internet is the primary home for original IP. While the company has operated for over a decade, judges noted that the past year marked a clear breakthrough period.
Over the last 12 months, Objekt has delivered a series of landmark achievements that demonstrate this shift in strategy. The studio secured international format sales for original IP and launched Gripped, a joint venture with Rights Booster, which successfully revitalised a dormant true crime catalogue into a high-performing digital network. The studio also strengthened its reputation in branded content, delivering high-performing formats for clients including boohooMAN and YoungMinds.
Judges noted that a combination of creative discipline and operational efficiency has allowed Objekt to operate across multiple business models simultaneously, a hybrid approach that has strengthened commercial resilience and creative independence.
