UK-based production company Objekt and indie distributor Rights Booster are expanding their joint venture YouTube media brand, Gripped, with the launch of a second premium channel: GRIPPED: Police, Crime, Action.
Following the rollout of the network’s flagship true crime vertical earlier this year, this new channel pivots to high-octane law enforcement actuality. Gripped: Police, Crime, Action calls itself “a dedicated home for high-stakes, frontline action, featuring elite SWAT operations, intense bodycam footage, fugitive manhunts, and cartel takedowns”.
Using the same strategy of launching with premium TV content to be supplemented with original content in the future, the channel’s launch slate leverages Rights Booster’s catalogue of factual content, bringing hit international titles to YouTube audiences.
“After testing with the audience on our True Crime vertical, we knew there was a massive appetite for raw, frontline law enforcement actuality,” said Alex Kempner, managing director at Objekt.
Cat Davie, COO at Rocket Rights Booster, added, “Gripped is a great example of how premium content can find entirely new audiences when paired with the right digital strategy and channel positioning.”
The partners said that the launch of the Police, Crime, Action channel marks the next phase in Gripped’s 2026 roadmap, with further genre verticals and digital projects currently in development.
