A new original YouTube series has launched on Footasylum’s YouTube channel, created via a collaboration with production companies Objekt and Mako Studios.
Titled Pick My Type, the format marks Objekt’s first series for Footasylum’s official YouTube channel. New episodes are scheduled to drop weekly on Sundays at 7pm.
The series brings together a roster of digital talent including Danny Aarons, Tennessee, Kaci Jay, Max Khadar and Brazaville. The format centres on a matchmaking-style concept, with participants selecting potential partners on behalf of others, blending elements of entertainment, social experiment and competition.
According to Objekt, the show is designed to deliver “chaos, chemistry, and a bit of matchmaking,” reflecting Footasylum’s ongoing investment in creator-led, youth-focused content. The project also marks a continued collaboration between Objekt and Mako Studios.
The launch forms part of Footasylum’s strategy of deepening engagement with its audience through platform-native formats and influencer-driven programming.
Two days out from the launch of episode one, the show had generated around 90,000 views. Footasylum’s current subscriber based on YouTube is around 2.96m.
