MTV UK unveils trio of digital-first commissions, including greenlight for After Party

MTV UK has commissioned three new digital-first series for its YouTube channel, including a new docuseries fronted by Jordan Stephens and a vodcast hosted by Geordie Shore stars Sophie Kasaei and Holly Hagan.

The slate, ordered by Amie Parker-Williams, MTV UK’s director of digital commissioning and production, will explore themes including wellbeing, mental health and masculinity, as well as heritage and belonging.

The first commission, In Search of Peace with Jordan Stephens (4 x 25’), follows Stephens as he meets a different content creator in each episode to examine how individuals are addressing burnout and seeking balance in an increasingly demanding world. By immersing himself in his contributors’ daily wellbeing practices, Stephens explores what “peace” means in modern life and whether it is achievable or ongoing.

The series is produced by After Party Studios, with Jamie MacDonald and Trent Williams Jones serving as executive producers and Riva Japaul as producer/director.

Jamie MacDonald, head of originals at After Party Studios, said: “In a world of relentless demands on our attention – nowhere more so than online – In Search of Peace with Jordan Stephens feels especially resonant. Jordan brings honesty, curiosity and a deeply personal perspective to a subject so many of us are grappling with. Partnering with Amie and the team at Paramount for the first time on such a timely documentary marks an incredibly exciting milestone for us.”

A second new title, Shall We? (6 x 45’), is described as a candid and comedic vodcast in which Kasaei and Hagan “invite audiences into the group chat”, discussing friendship and life changes, including their pregnancies. The series is produced in-house by MTV Entertainment Studios, with Parker-Williams as executive producer and Alice Varma as series producer.

MTV UK has also recommissioned its digital vodcast MTV Faces (6 x 45’) for a fourth run. The new series will focus on heritage, bringing together artists from across music and entertainment for conversations about identity, inherited beliefs and personal experience. Previous series have addressed topics including grief, ADHD and body image. The series is produced in-house by MTV Entertainment.

Parker-Williams said: “Our aim is to unpack the topics which preoccupy young people today. Expect unflinching and unapologetic conversations as well as fast-paced fun and laughs along the way, all delivered in formats which resonate with our Gen Z audience. In creating a range of properties for MTV in the digital space, we want to bring in new audiences while serving our existing fans with the faces and viral moments they love.”

All three titles will launch on MTV UK’s YouTube channel during 2026.
