Video monetisation specialist Merzigo has entered into a partnership with Italian football club FC Internazionale Milano aimed at expanding the club’s global digital footprint across major social video platforms.

The agreement will focus on optimising Inter’s archive of football content for distribution on YouTube and Facebook, spanning historic matches, magazine programming, interviews and clips from the club’s men’s, women’s and youth teams. The initiative is intended to grow international audiences and deepen fan engagement.

Merzigo will apply its content optimisation and distribution capabilities to the project, leveraging a network that includes more than 6,000 managed channels in over 30 languages and generates upwards of 13 billion monthly views.

Valerio Motti, managing director, EMEA at Merzigo, said: “Inter is one of the most prestigious football clubs in the world with a rich heritage of legendary games and players. We are thrilled to partner with them to bring their wealth of sporting content to audiences and fans worldwide. This partnership marks an exciting milestone in our expansion into the sports digital distribution market and speaks to our leadership and expertise in content monetisation and optimisation across YouTube and Facebook.”

Founded in 1908, Inter is one of Europe’s most decorated clubs, with 37 domestic titles and nine international trophies. The club has also built a substantial global following, with more than 600 million fans worldwide and 90 million social media followers.
