Manchester United is approaching the application deadline for its new head of social media, with submissions closing tomorrow (Tuesday 3 February).
The search comes as the Premier League club continues to invest in its global digital and fan engagement operation. Manchester United has one of the largest social media footprints in world sport, reaching hundreds of millions of followers across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube, alongside a network of regional and language-specific channels.
Based across Old Trafford and the club’s Carrington training ground, the senior role will lead the club’s global social media strategy, overseeing content, community engagement and performance across all official Manchester United channels. The club said that the position plays a key role in strengthening brand equity, supporting commercial partnerships and managing the club’s online reputation.
In terms of criteria, the club wants an experienced digital leader with a strong background in social media strategy, audience growth and editorial oversight, ideally within sport or entertainment. A global outlook and passion for football are described as essential. Applications for the role close tomorrow.
