Jungle Creations takes operational control of sports publisher SPORF

Jungle Creations has entered a new strategic partnership with leading sports publisher SPORF, taking on full strategic and operational responsibility for the brand.

Under the agreement, Jungle Creations will oversee SPORF’s publishing schedule, social content strategy, platform growth and commercial partnerships. However, SPORF will remain as a Media Chain Group property.

SPORF has built a strong position as a social-first sports publisher focused on fandom, culture and debate. The brand reaches more than 15 million followers across major platforms and is one of Media Chain Group’s leading digital properties.

The partnership consolidates Jungle Creations’ growing presence in sport, bringing SPORF under the stewardship of a team with experience scaling major sports publishers including SPORTbible, AFTV and GiveMeSport, alongside work with brands such as Amazon Prime Video Sport, Sky Sports, MLB and Red Bull.

Jungle Creations will work closely with the existing SPORF team, focusing on evolving its editorial output, developing new formats and platform opportunities, and creating premium branded content designed to engage sports audiences at scale.

Thomas Mackinder, director of social at Jungle Creations, said the move marks a significant step for the business. “SPORF understands sports fandom in a way very few publishers do. Our role is to help scale what’s already working – protecting its tone, perspective and community while unlocking the next phase of growth.”

Siobhan McDade, chief publishing officer at Jungle Creations, said the partnership reflects the cultural power of sport. “Fandom is becoming more expressive and more community-led. SPORF sits right at that intersection of culture and conversation, and our focus will be on growing the brand without compromising its authenticity.”

Christian Grobel, CEO at Media Chain Group, added: “Jungle brings proven operational expertise in building social brands at scale. This partnership gives SPORF the backing to continue growing while staying true to the fandom-led approach that has defined the brand from day one.” The partnership is effective immediately.
