ITV Studios has unveiled a series of senior appointments to strengthen its data & insights and business development divisions under Tom Clark, EVP, global sales & commercial strategy. The hires are part of a wider strategy to drive growth and unlock opportunities across distribution division Global Partnerships and Zoo55.

ITV Studios said it is “investing significantly” in its data & insights capability, which underpins decision-making across distribution strategy, content investment and owned and operated D2C channels via Zoo55. Jason Fletcher joins as SVP, data & insights bringing experience spanning data, analytics and content strategy. Over the past nine years at Sky, he has built and led a team of specialists responsible for advising on some of the company’s most important content partnerships – as well as supporting Sky Studios’ commissioning and acquisitions.

The bolstered business development function will play a key role in “identifying and evaluating strategic opportunities from a wide array of growth prospects” – including new content formats, off-air exploitation, catalogue expansion and commerce. It will operate across Global Partnerships, Zoo55 and Brand Licensing.

Yannis Ioannidis (pictured) joins as SVP, business development, bringing extensive international experience across content, technology, and strategy. He spent seven years at TikTok/ByteDance in London and Los Angeles, where he led global content partnerships, negotiated the company’s first rights management agreements, and drove international expansion of new products and features.

Clark said: “Business Development and Data & Insights are two critical engines that will help us to identify significant growth drivers in the rapidly evolving global digital and media landscape. These functions are vital in informing strategic decision-making as we continue to grow ITV Studios’ footprint around the world.”

Fletcher added, “ITV’s catalogue and creative ambition are second to none, and I look forward to working with my team and colleagues across Studios to bring data and insight to the heart of how we grow value across platforms and partnerships.”

Ioannidis commented: “With its incredible creative heritage and global scale, ITV Studios is uniquely positioned to shape the future of content, from new formats and emerging technologies to fresh commercial opportunities. I look forward to working with the team to help fuel the next phase of growth.”
