Hearst Networks EMEA has released the first episode of a new multi-platform true crime series called My Child Killed. Produced by Fawkes Digital, the show is available to watch on Crime+Investigation on demand or via social media, including YouTube.
In My Child Killed, Yinka Bokinni meets the parents of children who have been convicted of murder or manslaughter. The first episode sees Bokinni talk to the parents of a young man who was involved in a murder four days after being a stab victim himself. He is now serving 22 years in prison for his involvement in the crime.
The series was commissioned by Sam Pearson and Di Carter for Hearst Networks EMEA. There will be six episodes in total with the remaining five due in 2026.
Pearson said: “The team at Fawkes Digital have shown remarkable dedication to both the editorial and contributor care, delivering a valuable and moving watch. My Child Killed stands for what makes true crime as a medium so important – giving a voice to the voiceless and allowing those affected by crime to tell their story in their own words.”
Hearst Networks EMEA has been quick to embrace new commissioning models which lean into the changing content landscape. In a separate development, Hearst UK has just announced a partnership with Legend Entertainment on Battle Treasures with Foxy and Bruce, a six-part series for Sky History. Under this partnership, Sky History commissioned the show but Legend Entertainment retains IP ownership of the series. The two companies will share the rights, after some small exclusivity holdbacks, to air the programming across digital platforms.
In another Hearst-themed story, Hearst Networks has launched five of its FAST channels on Trailblazer TV, the FAST platform from Go See TV.
Trailblazer TV is home to high-adrenaline entertainment for viewers who crave speed, power, and adventure. The Hearst channels, Mystery TV, Inside Crime, History Hunters, Deal Masters, and World War TV, will bring audiences a lineup of gripping investigations, bold history programming, and stories of discoveries and deals.
“Our FAST channels are built around curiosity, authenticity, and pace – values we share with Trailblazer TV. This partnership unlocks a new opportunity to grow our reach and deliver our content to passionate new audiences,” said Julie Mitchelmore, VP product and commercial partnerships at Hearst Networks.
