Goalhanger has announced the launch of Doing It Anyway, a new six-part limited series hosted by journalist and broadcaster Katty Kay, set to debut on 10 July.

The weekly series is being produced in partnership with Vanguard and will explore how confidence influences decision-making across work and life, with a particular emphasis on women’s experiences. It will combine data, psychology and personal narratives to examine how individuals can strengthen confidence and approach ambition, opportunity and risk differently.

Best known as co-host of The Rest Is Politics: US and co-author of The Confidence Code and Womenomics, Kay examines leadership, gender and behavioural psychology. In Doing It Anyway, she will speak with psychologists, business leaders, authors and public figures about the origins of confidence, its impact on performance, and the barriers that prevent people from acting on their goals.

Guests scheduled to appear include organisational psychologist and author Adam Grant; media executive Mika Brzezinski; Peloton instructor and entrepreneur Ally Love; CEO of Stemettes Anne-Marie Imafidon; psychology researcher Dr Kristin Neff; and former White House director of communications Anthony Scaramucci, who also co-hosts The Rest Is Politics: US alongside Kay.

Speaking on the launch, Kay said: “I’ve wanted to do this series for a long time. There are so many things I wish I’d known when I was starting out – the hurdles, failures and fears I’ve had to work through along the way. In these episodes, we’re sharing the best of my research, but also lots of practical advice: how to recognise the obstacles, face them down, and do it anyway.”

The six-part series will be available on YouTube and podcast platforms every Friday.
