Media and entertainment group Global has announced the launch of Up To Speed, a new Formula 1 podcast hosted by Will Buxton, Naomi Schiff, David Coulthard and Jolie Sharpe.

The show will launch on Monday February 16, with new episodes released twice weekly on Global Player, YouTube and other podcast platforms. It will be produced by Global Studios.

Up To Speed brings together four voices from across F1 media and broadcasting, including F1 journalist and Drive to Survive contributor Will Buxton, racing driver-turned-broadcaster Naomi Schiff, former F1 driver and 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard, and F1 presenter and content creator Jolie Sharpe.

The podcast will feature race analysis, behind-the-scenes insight and discussion of the major stories shaping the sport, both on and off the track. Monday episodes will provide reaction and analysis following each race weekend, while Thursday episodes will explore the biggest talking points of the week and feature interviews with figures from across Formula 1.

“Formula 1’s audience continues to grow every year, and with so much momentum in the sport, this feels like the perfect time to launch a podcast show like this. It’s a huge season for Formula 1, and we want to bring fans right into the heart of it,” said Coulthard.

“Formula 1 has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and this podcast is a chance to turn that into something fans can really be part of,” added Sharpe. “I want people to come away with a deeper connection to the sport, from the conversations you don’t hear elsewhere to the atmosphere and moments that make race weekends so special.

Up To Speed is the latest addition to Global Studios’ podcast portfolio, which also includes The Fellas Studios and The Overlap. Global Studios provides podcast creators with video and audio production facilities, distribution across major platforms and marketing support across Global’s radio, digital and outdoor networks.
