Sports platform Fanatics has linked up with next gen studio OBB Media, to launch Fanatics Studios, a digital-first joint venture designed to deliver premium sports and entertainment content across platforms worldwide.
The new studio will “create, finance, produce, and distribute best-in-class content spanning feature films, documentaries, unscripted and scripted originals, live event specials, and innovative digital-first series tailored to modern audiences”.
Announcing the studio, the partners revealed that Fanatics Studios becomes the official digital content partner for all WWE shows, including high-profile series such as What Do You Wanna Talk About with Cody Rhodes, Six Feet Under with The Undertaker, and the new culinary travel series YEE(A)T with the Usos.
The venture brings together Fanatics’ global sports reach – including thousands of athletes and partnerships across apparel, collectibles, iGaming, and live events with OBB Media’s expertise in creating culturally resonant content.
By combining these strengths, Fanatics Studios aims to “redefine how fans experience sports and entertainment in the digital era, delivering immersive stories across social, streaming, and theatrical”. Projects announced at launch include partnerships with LA28 Olympics, the ESPY Awards and MLB & World Baseball Classic.
