Digital star Eman “SV2” has announced the launch of V2L8 Media, a new creator-led media company co-founded with his manager Sanmi Balogun.
Eman “SV2” and Balogun said the studio “aims to develop and produce original IP and premium branded entertainment at the intersection of sport and entertainment”.
With a built-in community of more than five million followers and over a decade of experience creating high-engagement formats, the goal for the company is to develop its own IP while helping brands/rights-holders, streamers and broadcasters engage younger audiences through formats that entertain, educate and inspire.
Eman “SV2,” who was recently named New Balance’s first-ever global gaming ambassador, commented: “I’ve spent more than a decade creating content that connects, building a community of millions along the way. What I’ve learned is that creativity and data go hand in hand. Every thumbnail, edit and format decision has been shaped by a mixture of my ideas and audience insight. That combination of experience and analytics gives V2L8 a unique perspective, helping clients reach young audiences with content that feels authentic and performs at scale.”
V2L8 will operate a hybrid model, combining agency-style services for clients and scalable IP born through social and scaled beyond platforms. Balogun said: “It’s clear that interruptive ads no longer have the same impact on consumers. At the same time, streamers are constantly looking for creator-led IP to keep subscribers on their platforms, and broadcasters are facing declining linear viewership as audiences shift to digital. More and more creators are also building media franchises that live beyond platforms. We see V2L8 playing a role in each of these areas.”
Jack Jones will be an advisor to the board. A partner at London law firm Sheridans, Jones brings over a decade of expertise to the table. He said: “Eman and Sanmi are specialists at what they do. Their knack for disrupting and embracing emerging trends in the creator economy is what truly sets them apart. I’m eager to get going with V2L8.”
