Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Integrated Media Company (IMC), the media investment platform backed by TPG, have launched Compound Creative Holdings, a new investment vehicle focused on acquiring and scaling creator-led businesses.
The partners have committed an initial $250 million to the venture, which will invest in creator-led companies and provide operational support aimed at accelerating long-term growth. Compound will operate independently from CAA Creators, the agency’s existing creator representation division.
Tucker Brown (pictured) has been appointed managing partner of Compound. The company will be overseen by an executive committee comprising CAA executives Kevin Huvane, Jim Burtson and Maya Ho, alongside IMC executives Jon Miller, Ori Winitzer and Ben Loffredo. CAA Creators agent Andrew Graham and CAA Strategic Development executive Adam Goldstein will serve as advisers.
According to the companies, Compound has been established to partner with creators, entrepreneurs and emerging media businesses by providing capital, operational infrastructure and commercial support as the creator economy continues to mature.
“Compound brings together creative vision and financial resources to open doors to opportunities unlike any other,” said Huvane, co-chairman of CAA. “Creators around the world are building full-fledged media companies with direct audience connections and true ownership of their intellectual property. Compound is built to fuel that momentum and reflects our commitment to helping creators amplify their impact.”
The launch reflects growing investor interest in creator-led businesses, as digital talent increasingly expands beyond content production into broader media, consumer products and intellectual property ventures.
Winitzer said: “The Creator Economy is rich with investment opportunity and capital formation has just begun,” he said. “However, capital alone is insufficient, especially in this category. Our excitement is a function of both the secular opportunity and the benefits of approaching it with the world’s preeminent talent firm.”
Brown brings more than 15 years of experience advising media, entertainment and sports companies through CAA Evolution. His previous transactions include growth investments involving creator businesses such as Dude Perfect and MeidasTouch. “Creators are no longer just talent, they are enterprise builders and increasingly operate with the scale and sophistication of established media companies,” Brown said. “Our goal is to provide the appropriate capital architecture and operational support to help these businesses grow sustainably and capture lasting value.”
