Julian Althaus has been named as director channels & digital sales at Germany-based content studio Autentic. The company said that Althaus’ appointment will strengthen the group’s planned development of its digital activities.
In a related announcement, Autentic also announced that Thomas Handl will be the company’s new YouTube Manager. In this role, the former Studio 100 exec will be responsible for managing Autentic’s YouTube channels.
Autentic’s channel division currently has seven FAST Channels as well as several YouTube channels including Autentic Documentary, launched in 2024. Autentic managing director Patrick Hörl said the company is “consistently expanding its presence in the international FAST and streaming market. Under Julian’s leadership, our channel team is perfectly positioned to seize new opportunities in the digital business. And Thomas’s support will strengthen our efforts to connect even more closely with our viewers, especially on YouTube.”
Althaus has worked with Autentic Distribution’s sales team for the last decade and has been closely involved in growing the company’s digital business. Alongside his new responsibilites, he will continue to oversee global digital sales.
