B2B rights transaction platform Vuulr has launched VuulrOS, a white-label service that gives content owners their own branded, always-on sales website.
Built on the same technology as the Vuulr.com marketplace, VuulrOS provides sellers with a transactional environment where buyers can discover and screen content, search catalogues and avails, make and negotiate offers and manage rights, all under the seller’s brand. Vuulr says the service is designed to help distributors take their rights business online without the cost of building or maintaining their own technology.
Ben Flint, chief commercial officer at Vuulr, said: “The way content is bought has changed. Buyers want to be able to discover, screen and assess titles when it suits them, at any hour and wherever they are in the world. But relationships still matter.” He added that the service was not about replacing sales teams, but removing “totally unnecessary friction” from the process.
The platform is aimed at companies ranging from independent producers with small catalogues and creators with growing short-form slates through to major distributors handling thousands of TV and film titles. It includes unlimited secure screening rooms, live rights management covering online and offline deals, and an integrated offer and negotiation module. Sellers can set commercial parameters including price floors, minimum guarantees, revenue-share offers and FAST bundles.
Vuulr is also developing an automation layer for VuulrOS, including an automated sales agent with human controls, pricing recommendations and deeper analytics. Supply-chain functionality covering delivery, localisation, billing and reporting is planned with partners for 2027.
“For years, the industry has talked about digital transformation while a surprising amount of the business of rights trading is still labouring with emails, spreadsheets and manually maintained systems,” said Flint. “It lets companies start moving their businesses online immediately, but importantly, they remain in control. These are their titles, their buyers and their deals.”
Unlike the commission model used on the main Vuulr.com marketplace, VuulrOS is sold on subscription across four tiers based on catalogue size. Pricing starts at $30 a month for catalogues of five titles or fewer, with custom pricing and features for enterprise clients with more than 200 titles.
Vuulr recently announced their relaunch under new ownership.
