COL Group International has appointed MediaSpurs as its official partner in Poland, with the Warsaw-based company tasked with developing distribution, platform, branded entertainment and production opportunities for its microdrama business.
MediaSpurs will lead local market development for COL’s FlareFlow platform and its wider microdrama operations. The agreement positions Poland as an entry point for further expansion in Europe, although the companies did not disclose financial terms or announce specific projects.
COL said its content catalogue comprises more than 7,000 titles in 13 languages. MediaSpurs will seek partnerships with media companies, telecom operators, digital platforms and brands as the format expands beyond dedicated consumer apps.
Citing WPP Media research, MediaSpurs said more than one in ten adults in Poland have used or tried a dedicated microdrama app, while almost 10m have encountered the format. Omdia expects the global microdrama market to exceed $14bn in 2026.
Timothy Oh, general manager of COL Group International, said: “We see significant potential for microdrama across Europe as the category continues to expand internationally. MediaSpurs combines senior experience and relationships across the established media industry with an active role in developing the microdrama category in the region. Poland is an important market for us and a natural entry point for further growth in Europe. That combination will be important as we build the market.”
Łukasz Wysocki (pictured), managing director of MediaSpurs, added: “We are past asking whether audiences will watch microdrama. They already do. The question now is how that momentum translates into the wider entertainment ecosystem, through operators, platforms, content, production and brand partnerships. COL Group brings IP, content, production capabilities and technology at global scale, while FlareFlow gives us a strong platform around which to build those partnerships.”
