Global media tech company Merzigo is expanding its partnership with Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of media and entertainment group, Banijay Entertainment.
Building on an initial agreement announced in March 2026, the extension sees 9000 hours added to the existing portfolio of 8000 hours managed by Merzigo, which includes the MasterChef Universe (pictured), Mr Bean TV and Survivor Official TV channels.
Under the multi-year deal, Merzigo will leverage its proprietary technology and expertise to drive the performance of Banijay Rights IP, with the portfolio expanding to include long-running factual and lifestyle titles.
Valerio Motti, MD EMEA, Merzigo, said: “Merzigo has an unparalleled ability to transform premium content into new forms that resonate with today’s audiences. Our deep understanding of audience behaviours and culture, blended with platform behavioural expertise, unlocks commercial opportunities at scale. Expanding our deal with Banijay Rights reflects the success we’ve already achieved together.”
Shaun Keeble, VP digital, Banijay Rights, added: “We’ve seen first-hand what Merzigo are capable of when great IP is put through their ecosystem. This extension is a reflection of the performance they’ve delivered and the collaboration we’ve built together. Two digitally driven businesses, with a shared ambition to win in the new entertainment era.”
