Football content creator Zac Djellab has surpassed 100,000 YouTube subscribers, marking a significant milestone for the creator as his channel continues to expand its reach among younger football audiences.
The channel has generated 17.7 million views so far in 2026 and has increasingly become a go-to platform for football personalities seeking to engage with digital-first fans.
According to Cowshed Collective, which works with Djellab, the growth has been driven by a deliberate focus on football entertainment rather than competing in the more established football news and analysis space.
“We made a deliberate decision not to compete in the crowded world of football news, analysis and opinion. Instead, we focused entirely on football entertainment,” said Cowshed Collective co-founder and CEO George Cowin.
That approach has helped attract a growing number of high-profile guests. Recent appearances have included John Terry, Jamie Carragher and Mark Clattenburg, with further football figures expected to feature on the channel in the coming months.
“The channel’s growth has accelerated rapidly, with footballers, managers, referees and pundits now actively reaching out to take part in content,” Cowin said.
Cowin added that Djellab’s rise is notable given he is not a former player, broadcaster or journalist.
Djellab’s channel growth comes at a time when digital-first football media is attracting increasing attention ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off today. With established digital-first players such as Goalhanger and The Overlap looking to expand their football audiences and content offerings around the tournament, channels that can reach younger fans through entertainment-led formats are becoming an increasingly valuable part of the football media ecosystem.
