Strong Watch Studios secures digital content brief for Stand Up To Cancer 2025 on Channel 4

Strong Watch Studios has secured a digital content commission for Stand Up To Cancer 2025, rounding off a year in which the indie has become one of Channel 4’s most active digital partners across comedy, factual and youth-focused formats.

The appointment places Strong Watch at the heart of the campaign’s digital engagement strategy, creating online content to support a range of initiatives. Executive producer Adam Reeve will lead the digital delivery by Strong Watch.

The win follows a succession of Channel 4 commissions for Strong Watch Studios in 2025. The indie is producing A News Thing, the broadcaster’s new weekly YouTube and podcast current affairs review fronted by Michael Odewale, Dan Tiernan and Finlay Christie. The company is also curating and producing original programming for A Comedy Thing by Channel 4, the new digital comedy channel.

Stand Up To Cancer 2025 is a multi-platform campaign which launches on December 5, backed by a roster of talent including Davina McCall, Adam Hills, Clare Balding, Meera Syal, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Jessie J, Rosie Jones, Hugh Bonneville and Hannah Fry. With at least 9 million people in the UK currently not up to date with cancer screening, the campaign prioritises demystifying the process, encouraging uptake and supporting fundraising for research.

A week of activities will feature celebrity challenges staged in major shopping centres, nightly Stand Up To Cancer news updates, and digital storytelling to drive awareness and participation. The campaign culminates on December 12 with a night of live television on Channel 4. Alongside specials of Celebrity Gogglebox and The Last Leg, viewers will see the debut of Cancer Clinic: Live, which will take audiences inside real clinical consultations at Addenbrooke’s and Royal Papworth Hospitals. Produced by Bango Studios and HiddenLight, the live programme aims to reduce fear, build understanding and emphasise the importance of early diagnosis.

Davina McCall wants to “take the fear out of cancer screening and show everyone they are not on their own… Cancer Clinic: Live is about demystifying what happens inside a clinic and reminding people that early diagnosis gives you options and hope.”

Stand Up To Cancer 2025 is commissioned for Channel 4 by Tom Beck, Vivienne Molokwu and Steve Handley, and produced by Bango Studios.
