TellyCast has today unveiled more details about The Bridge Digital Formats Lounge, a new innovation that will be presented at this year’s Digital Content Forum (Thursday, November 6: BFI Southbank). Designed in partnership with ITV Studios and Zoo 55, The Bridge will connect the media industry heavyweight with creators and studios to explore cross-platform opportunities around new and catalogue formats.

The Bridge will run all day alongside a packed programme of sessions and keynotes. Leading ITV Studios labels including Potato, South Shore Productions, Lifted, Boom, MultiStory Media, So Television, The Garden, TwoFour and Plimsoll Productions will meet with digital-first studios and creators to discuss ways in which TV and the new creator economy can work together.

ITV Studios MD, Creative Network & Production Support, Mike Beale commented: “We’re so happy to be part of The Bridge at DCF. We’re aware that a business of our scale and heritage could appear intimidating, but this networking opportunity gives us the chance to show we’re anything but. We are keen to actively embrace what’s new and that includes all of the brilliant talent creating content across emerging social platforms.”

ITV Studios last year formed a dedicated digital division of its own, Zoo 55, which will also be in attendance at the DCF and The Bridge. “We are expanding further into the digital space and want to connect with creators and agencies who share our ambition to shape the future of digital entertainment,” explained Beale. “We’re eager to discover new talent, spark creative collaborations, and explore how we can work together to develop exciting new IP that thrives across multiple platforms.”

TellyCast founder Justin Crosby, organiser of the DCF, said: “The Bridge is exactly the kind of idea exchange I imagined when I launched the Digital Content Forum four years ago. My hope is that it can be a creative catalyst for ITV Studios – while at the same time unlocking bold new opportunities for creators. As we recently explored in The Drop magazine, there is a growing market for digital-first formats in the traditional TV space. At the same time, there is a treasure trove of pre-loved formats in the ITV Studios catalogue which could be reimagined for the social generation.”

DCF 2025 is set to be the biggest ever, with sessions on vodcast, formats, microdramas and much more. Other features include the YouTube Clinic where delegates can get a free health check of their YouTube channels by vidIQ. The day is also designed to offer relaxed networking opportunities. Tickets are available here.
