Dr. Seuss Enterprises has renewed and expanded its partnership with multi-platform specialist Little Dot Studios. As part of the renewal, the partners have launched Seuss Circle Time.
Described as “an 8-week summer takeover”, Seuss Circle Time is a preschool series that supports early learning through storytelling, singing, dancing, and interactive play with hosts Ziggy, Tizzie and Dr. Seuss’ characters. Each episode features music, games, and learning activities in settings like the Circle Time House and Truffula Forest. Regular weekly 30-minute episodes will drop every Friday for eight weeks, before switching to monthly one-hour episodes beginning in September.
Last year, Dr. Seuss Enterprises increased investment in its YouTube presence as families continued to spend more time on the platform, resulting in viewership that rocketed by 993% in 11 months. Since relaunching the channel in July 2024, subscribership has increased by 1084%, and the channel has accrued more than 150 million impressions. Beyond Seuss Circle Time, Little Dot Studios (an All3Media company) and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have also produced two additional series, Crafty Fun with The Cat in the Hat and Learn to Draw with Dr. Seuss Babies.
Susan Brandt, president and CEO at Dr. Seuss Enterprises, said: “As we think about where to bring the iconic IP of Dr. Seuss, we are always looking at where the next generation of fans are spending their time. With so much family co-viewing happening on YouTube, we felt it was important to take a deliberate approach to building out our channel with high quality, entertaining content. In collaboration with Little Dot Studios, we have been able to scale this destination into a hub that lets millions of fans delight in the iconic Dr. Seuss characters they love on a daily basis.”
James Loveridge, co-managing director – agency at Little Dot Studios, added: “Dr. Seuss characters are already so beloved, and we are confident that audiences are going to relish viewing their favourite characters in new and interesting ways.”
Seuss Circle Time follows a slate of previously announced, always-on original programming produced by Little Dot Studios, including read-alongs as part of the Dr. Seuss Storytime series and fun phonics games such as Learn to Read with Dr. Seuss Babies, which also marked the first launch from the recently announced Dr. Seuss Babies brand. The line-up also includes The Lorax’s Nature Keeper’s Club and The Cat in the Hat’s Quirky Quiz, which explore the world around us, and the drawing series Draw Your Dream Pet, celebrating creativity and imagination.
As part of this extended creative collaboration, Little Dot Studios will continue to work with Electric Studios, part of Electric Theatre Collective, to provide bespoke animations across the creatives.
