Presented during a ceremony at The Londoner, Leicester Square, the judges set out to reward the quality and depth of storytelling, factual accuracy, and a channel’s ability to engage and inform its audience on a variety of topics.
Free Documentary is a YouTube channel dedicated to offering high-quality, free documentaries across a variety of compelling topics, including history, science, nature, culture, and social issues. The channel hit 5 Million subscribers in July 2024 and recorded its most successful single video release ever in the qualifying period (circa 6m views for The last Cavemen).
The channel was an early adopter of multiple voice tracks and added Spanish to a total of 130 videos over the year.
