BBC Studios has unveiled a new digital series to support its global kids franchise Bluey. Entitled Bluey Dancealongs, the social video series will see Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell star in a series of five dance videos, each of which will be based around a song from the popular kids show.

Produced by Whistling Wolf, BBC Studios Digital Brands and Ludo Studio, each video will be based in a distinct location within Bluey’s World, where Buswell will be joined by fans of the show. Episodes – which will be between 1 and 3 minutes in duration – are being released on a weekly basis (starting from Thursday 15th May).

Bluey is a flagship property for BBC Studios, and already has a busy digital ecosystem. In March, a digital short called ‘Archaeology’ was made available globally for the first time on the official Bluey YouTube channel and Bluey.tv. A new series of digital series Bluey Book Reads is also due to be launched later this year.

Last year, it was revealed by Nielsen that Bluey was the No.1 most-watched series on streaming in 2024 among US viewers, with 56bn minutes watched (930m hours).
