MonRae Productions, the content creation division of digital first agency MonRae Management, has won a new 40 x 5 mins commission from Sky Kids.

Entitled Let’s Game: Worldbuilders, the 40-part order is an extension of Sky Kids’ Let’s Game franchise. Co-produced with Nest Productions, the series will see popular YouTube gamers DanTDM, Yammy, EthanGamer, Jelly, LDShadowLady, Slogo and I Am Sanna take on a range of challenges to create in-game worlds.

Global gaming titles Animal Crossing, Mario Maker, No Man’s Sky, Planet Coaster, Two Point Campus and Lego 2K will all feature in the five minute episodes in exclusive licensing deals scored by MonRae for television with the likes of Nintendo, 2K, Sega, Frontier, Sumo Digital and Curve. The cast of gaming creators will be set challenges in a range of modes including speed-building, survival builds, collaborative builds and build-offs – allowing the YouTubers to collaborate in-game with one another.

MonRae Productions executive producers Elspeth Rae and Bronagh Monahan, said: “We created Worldbuilders to engage young audiences with the creators, games and short form content they love, whilst showcasing to their parents that these games are friendly and can be consumed safely on a trusted TV platform. We are thrilled to be working with Sky Kids once more, which is industry leading in its approach to exploring the wealth of opportunities that exists between gaming and TV.”

Let’s Game: Worldbuilders was commissioned by Lucy Murphy, director of Sky Kids and will launch in October 2023. The series producer for MonRae is Junior Addo.
